LAHORE: Mian Jalil Ahmed Sharaqpuri, who was expelled from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), once again met Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Friday.

During the meeting, the chief minister was apprised of the problems regarding their respective constituencies. Taking note of the problems, Buzdar assured them that the issues would be resolved.

The chief minister said that his doors are always open for Sharaqpuri and Niazi. Relevant sources claimed that CM Buzdar had given the task to Rebel MPAs to bring together more like-minded political leaders from PML-N.

Prime Minister Imran Khan had assigned the same mission and sent Special Assistant for Accountability Shehzad Akbar to Lahore, but, according to sources, no significant success has been achieved.

On October 1, 2020, the PML-N expelled members of Punjab Assembly Nishat Ahmed Daha and Faisal Niazi from Khanewal, Sharaqpuri from Sheikhupura, Muhammad Ghiasuddin from Narowal and Ashraf Ansari from Gujranwala for meeting the Punjab CM without the permission of its leadership.
