Police have launched an investigation following the body of a Dutch tourist recovered from a private hotel in Lahore’s Gulberg area.
As per details, hotel staff members discovered the body and alerted authorities. Police later identified the deceased as a Dutch citizen who had been staying at the hotel.
Law enforcement officials arrived at the scene and launched an investigation into the incident. Investigators are questioning hotel management and employees while examining available evidence to determine the exact cause and circumstances of the death.
Police have not confirmed whether foul play is suspected, saying the inquiry is still in its preliminary stages.
In a separate incident, a woman and her three children were found dead inside their home in Lahore’s Valencia area on Friday. Police identified the victims as 40-year-old Aleena, 16-year-old Rehan, 11-year-old Arshia and 9-year-old Arsal.
According to preliminary findings, investigators suspect the family died after consuming poisoned food. Authorities believe the children were allegedly poisoned through food, though forensic examinations are underway to determine the exact cause of death.
