ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office spokesperson Ayesha Farooqi has condemned the latest statement of Indian General Bipin Rawat and termed it as Indian bogey of terrorism.
As per Ayesha Farooqi, Bipin Rawat remarked about placing young Kashmiri children in ‘de-radicalization camps’ and sought to put Pakistan on the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) blacklist.
The foreign officer termed Rawat’s statement ‘a usual Indian bogey of terrorism’ and added that such remarks were reflective of the extremist mindset and bankrupt thinking of India.
She said that the Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK) has already been turned into the world’s largest prison camp with 8 million Kashmiris incarcerated there since August 2019.
According to Farooqi, Pakistan has consistently sensitized the world community about India’s malicious campaign in this regard.
She called upon the global community to hold India accountable for its illegal actions.
Her comments came after General Rawat made the public remarks at Raisina Dialogue 2020 that a plan was afoot to set up large-scale re-education camps in the part of the disputed Kashmir region that India controls.
