FM Qureshi arrives in China to discuss Kashmir issue

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has tested positive for the novel coronavirus today (Friday).
ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has reached China today to discuss the situation in occupied Kashmir.
He went along with foreign secretary Sohail Mehmood and senior officials of the Foreign Ministry. During his visit, Qureshi will hold meetings with the top leadership of China.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi landed in Beijing early Friday morning accompanied by Foreign secretary Sohail Mehmood and senior officials of the Foreign Ministry. During his visit, Qureshi will hold meetings with the top leadership of China.
The foreign minister will brief the Chinese leadership on the Indian government’s illegal move i.e. revoking the special status of occupied Kashmir and carrying out grave human rights violations in the valley.
Talking to media previously before his departure, Qureshi said that he was leaving for China to hold consultations with the Chinese leadership on developments arising out of India’s move to revoke the special status. He said that India was intent on disturbing the regional peace with its unconstitutional measures.
Earlier on 5th August, the Indian government moved a bill in the upper house of the parliament to remove Article 370 from the Indian constitution.
