The title track of Loveyapa, starring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, has been released. Titled Loveyapa Ho Gaya, the quirky song is the first track from the film.
According to a report by Indian Express on Friday, sung by Nakash Aziz and Madhubanti Bagchi, the song has received mixed reactions, with many labeling it the “first worst song of 2025.”
The makers shared the video on Instagram, describing it as “the perfect love song for Gen-Z,” and urged audiences to celebrate Valentine’s season with Loveyapa, releasing in cinemas on February 7, 2025.
Khushi Kapoor also posted the track on her Instagram, humorously captioning it: “Babu Shona karte-karte ho gaya dimag ka Bhajiyapa? Well, this is the beginning of Loveyapa!”
The song features Khushi and Junaid in quirky frames that highlight modern love and playfully critique today’s dating scene, including situationships. It has a retro early-2000s vibe, reminiscent of music videos from that era. Instead of a teaser or trailer, the makers released the song to generate buzz for the film.
Loveyapa, directed by Advait Chandan of Laal Singh Chaddha fame, marks the second film for both Khushi Kapoor (after The Archies) and Junaid Khan (after Maharaj). The movie is set to hit theaters on February 7, 2025.
