The first post-Hajj flight, PK-732, arrived in Islamabad from Jeddah early Wednesday morning. Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, welcomed the pilgrims at Islamabad Airport. According to him, around 307 pilgrims returned home on the first flight.
Speaking to the media, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that the pilgrims were satisfied with the Hajj arrangements. He praised the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Government of Pakistan for providing excellent facilities.
The minister further shared that a total of 111 flights took part in the Hajj operation. He acknowledged that the Saudi government also provided commendable services to the pilgrims.
He stated that the Government of Pakistan ensured the best possible arrangements during Hajj and aims to provide even better facilities next year. Post-Hajj flight operation starts tomorrow
Dr. Tariq Fazal added that the prayers of the pilgrims contributed to Pakistan’s internal stability and success against India on the security front.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to extend every possible assistance to Hajj pilgrims.
The post-Hajj operation at Islamabad International Airport will continue until July 10, according to Airport Manager Aftab Gilani.
He added that return flights from Madinah to Islamabad will also begin after a week.
Over 30,000 pilgrims are expected to return to Islamabad during the post-Hajj operation, Gilani further informed.
