Despite the passage of more than four months, no progress has been made in this investigation. The FIA has surprisingly dropped the case because Farah has close ties to the first lady.
In October 2021, the FIA sent notices to 100 individuals and decided to investigate individuals who were allegedly involved in buying dollars worth millions from various exchange companies and who either collected money or sent it abroad. Khan was among the 100 people who were either collecting dollars or sending them abroad.
