On February 19, Police have reached outside of the house of the PML-N district president to arrest former Punjab law minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah.

It was alleged by the PML-N that an attempt was being made to implicate Rana Sanaullah in the killing of the people who were shot dead.

According to sources, the house of PML-N leader Mustansir Hussain Gondal had been cordoned off for the arrest of Rana Sanaullah in Wazirabad on 19 February night.

Sources said police wanted to arrest Rana Sanaullah after two persons were killed and eight others sustained injuries after some unidentified armed men sprayed bullets near polling stations in Daska during NA-75 by-elections.

The dead had been identified as Majid and Zeeshan and belong to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

The incident created panic among voters, however, the situation returned to normal after the arrival of police. A clash also erupted between PTI and PML-N workers at the Sohdra polling station in Wazirabad during the PP-51 poll.
