ISLAMABAD: Officers of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) investigating the cases of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Khan Tareen and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif have been transferred.
FIA officers investigating alleged money laundering and sugar scandal have been transferred. Among them are the investigating officers in the cases of Jahangir Tareen and Shahbaz Sharif.
The FIA transferred 9 Assistant Directors whose services were transferred to the Additional Director General South Karachi. Meanwhile, three assistant directors in charge of the investigation of important cases in FIA Lahore are also among the transferees.
Assistant Director Syed Ali Mardan is the investigating officer of the Shahbaz Sharif case. Assistant Director Syed Ali Mardan is also part of GIT in the investigation case of former DG Bashir Memon.
