ISLAMABAD: Adviser to Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood has said o that the FBR has revised duty drawback rates from 4.39 percent to 1.7 percent for electric fans after 11 years.
On a social media website Twitter, Dawood said, “I am pleased to announce that the Federal Board of Revenue has issued the notification for new rates of duty drawback for electric fans.”

“I have always maintained that duty drawback is a right of the exporter and hope that these measures will result in enhancing domestic production and consequent exports,” the adviser added.
Abdul Razak Dawood further said that the step was in pursuance of the government’s policy of diversifying the country’s exports, wherein engineering goods were one of the main priorities. “It is also the government’s commitment to promoting ‘Make in Pakistan’ and export-led growth,” he said.
