ISLAMABAD: A team of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is reported to have conducted a major enforcement action in Islamabad’s Blue Area, targeting a well-known bakery over alleged tax compliance issues.
According to reports, officials from the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) inspected the outlet as part of a broader crackdown on businesses suspected of issuing improper or unverified transactions.
The operation is said to be part of FBR’s ongoing drive to strengthen digital invoicing systems and ensure transparent record-keeping across Tier-1 retail and food businesses. Such actions have recently increased in commercial hubs like Blue Area, where regulatory monitoring has been tightened.
The bakery raid has sparked discussion among citizens and business owners, highlighting growing scrutiny on tax compliance in Pakistan’s retail sector.
Authorities have not yet issued full official details regarding penalties or further action.
