ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Wednesday demanded to resolve issues with the banned Tehreek-I-Labaik politely under the law.

Speaking to the journalists in Islamabad, the JUI-F chief said that the protest is the legal right of the TLP, adding that first human rights were violated in Lahore and now violence is being done.

“Imran Khan himself allows sit-ins but what for now. If the demonstration against Nawaz Sharif was legal, then how did it become illegal against Imran Khan,” he asked, saying that they are preventing people from coming to Islamabad but the matter should be resolved in a polite and legal manner.

Earlier, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed had said that Rangers have been summoned in Punjab for sixty at the request of the provincial authorities.

“Like Karachi, Rangers have been called in Punjab under Section 4 (2) of the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997, read with Article 147 of the Constitution of Pakistan,” Rasheed said adding the summary is being forwarded to the federal government for approval.
