ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has said that 453 selected government schools from sixth to matriculation will be turned into science schools.
The federal minister took to Twitter and wrote that the decision by all provinces and units to participate in the STEM school project will bring all the government schools to the standard of the private schooling systems.

“In the first phase, 453 selected government schools from sixth to matriculation will be converted into science schools and the scope of the program will be extended to the majority of schools in the upcoming five years,” Fawad Chaudhry wrote.
He jointly presented a plan to transform government schools into modern science and technology schools. In this regard, Punjab Education Minister Murad Rass had a meeting with Fawad Chaudhry through Zoom yesterday evening.
The provincial minister said that the Punjab School Education Department had started the implementation of STEM in 2019. In connection with STEM, 1,000 IT labs and 1,000 science labs are now under construction in 17 districts.
Murad Rass said that Fawad Chaudhry’s department has provided STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). “Great step has been taken in this regard,” he added.
