Famous Punjabi film star Mustafa Qureshi’s 82nd birthday is being celebrated today.
According to details, Mustafa Qureshi became associated with Radio Pakistan as an artist while studying in Hyderabad. Later, when he stepped into the film industry, he emerged as an important actor.
Qureshi, who showed the essence of acting in various films including Maula Jutt, Lakhon Mein Eik, Jiva, Ghulam, Chief Sahab, Sargam, Warrant, and Sher Khan, made a place in the hearts of the people.

In his interview given 7 years ago, Mustafa Qureshi said that our film industry was brilliant in the past, the destruction of which can be termed a national tragedy. There used to be 12 film studios in Lahore.
During the interview, Mustafa Qureshi said that at one time the number of films made in Lahore alone was 150 to 175, nowadays (in 2015) only three or four films are made annually. Mustafa Qureshi said that plazas were built in place of our cinemas. Past governments have never paid attention to the cinema industry.
