Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam (JUI) on Sunday rejected the news that its Chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman has departed for Gaza.
According to details, MM News contacted JUI central spokesperson Aslam Ghauri about the news story published in a leading Urdu newspaper claiming that Maulana Fazal has left for Gaza.
“This news story is fake, Maulana did not leave for Gaza”, Ghauri told MM News adding that the reporter who has filed the news story has exaggerated the things.
It should be noted that the report, published in a leading Urdu newspaper today, stated that Maulana has left for Gaza and has taken food and medical supplies along with him.
The details of Maulana’s journey have been kept secret in hopes of reaching the people of Gaza ‘silently’, the report added.
The report cited sources close to Maulana for the claim and also added that JUI spokesman Aslam Ghauri confirmed the trip without giving details.
