CALIFORNIA: Social media website Facebook has suspended the accounts of two official media groups of the Taliban regime.
According to a foreign news agency, the social accounts of two official media groups of the Taliban government were blocked by Facebook. Regarding this, a Facebook spokesperson said that the Taliban is included in the terrorist list of the United States, so according to the laws, they cannot use the services of our company.
He said that Taliban accounts have been banned to uphold the law. Taliban government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid criticized the ban on Facebook accounts and said that the American company has shown intolerance by closing the Facebook page of Afghan media.

He said that these people use the slogan of freedom of speech to deceive other nations. On Thursday, the hashtag #BanTaliban was trending on Twitter, with thousands of users calling for Taliban accounts on that platform to be blocked.
The Taliban have made prolific use of Twitter since seizing power. While most accounts linked to the former Western-backed government have been dormant since the takeover, new “official” ones have proliferated — although none with Twitter’s blue tick of authenticity.
