Comedian Samay Raina has removed all episodes of the show from his YouTube channel just days after a clip from his YouTube show India’s Got Latent sparked massive outrage.
Taking to social media on Wednesday, Raina expressed that the backlash had become overwhelming for him. He said, “Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all India’s Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you.”
Amid the controversy, Raina’s upcoming performances have also been affected. His scheduled US tour remains uncertain, while his shows in Gujarat—set to take place in Vadodara, Ahmedabad, and Surat on April 17, 18, 19, and 20—have been officially canceled. Ticketing platform BookMyShow has removed booking options for these events.

What led to the backlash?
The controversy erupted after an episode of India’s Got Latent featured a highly inappropriate question. Guest judge Ranveer Allahbadia asked a contestant, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once to stop it forever?”
As the clip went viral, widespread condemnation followed, with viewers and public figures calling the question “vulgar,” “obscene,” and “unacceptable.”
Ranveer Allahbadia later issued a public apology via Instagram, stating, “I shouldn’t have said what I said on India’s Got Latent. I’m sorry. My comment was not just inappropriate, it was not even funny.”
