An FIR has been registered with the Mumbai police against YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia following a controversial remark, which the social media influencer later admitted was “inappropriate” and “not even funny.”
The complaint alleges that abusive language was used during the show and calls for strict legal action against the accused. It also names social media influencer Apoorva Makhija, comedian Samay Raina, and the organizers of the show India’s “Got Latent.”
During his appearance on India’s Got Latent, Allahbadia—who has 4.5 million followers on Instagram and 10.5 million YouTube subscribers—posed an offensive question to a contestant: “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?”
A video of the remark quickly went viral, drawing widespread criticism from social media users who condemned Allahbadia for his crude comment. Politicians also took note, further intensifying the backlash.
