ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr. Shireen Mazari has said that the address of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Parliament reflected his support for Pakistan.
In a series of tweets, Dr. Shireen Mazari wrote that Erdogan’s speech showed he was a resolute leader of a great nation.
Mazari tweeted, “The clarity & strength with which President Erdogan spoke in support of Pakistan was the voice of a great leader representing a great nation that has always shown courage & conviction regardless of external pressures even of the powerful. #ErdoganInPakistan.”

Mazari further wrote, “Let us also remember the ethnic cleansing of Azeris in Nagorno-Karabakh & the continuing illegal occupation of the same by Armenia despite 3 UNSC resolutions of 1993 & raise our voice as the Turkish leadership does for Pakistan on Kashmir & FATF.”

She added, “President Erdogan’s address to Parliament reflected his & the Turkish nation’s support for Pakistan. It was the speech of a resolute leader of a great nation that has a strong sense of history. As we appreciate the staunch support on Kashmir & FATF.”

Tweets of Mazari is an outcome of the recent visit of Erdogan in the country. He arrived in Islamabad on a two-day official trip on 13th February along with his wife and a high-level delegation of turkey.
The Turkish President also addressed a joint press conference in Islamabad yesterday. He also met his President, Dr. Arif Alvi, in the evening on Thursday where both leaders agreed to extend mutual support on issues of each other’s core national interest.
