A case of alleged encroachment on a government school has emerged in Karachi, where influential individuals reportedly forced teachers and students out of the school and locked the building, raising concerns that the education of more than 600 children could be disrupted.
According to details, tensions escalated at a government school located in Daud Goth, Malir City, when individuals allegedly entered the school and removed teachers and students from the classrooms.
Teachers said the alleged occupants locked the school building and claimed that the land belonged to their grandfather.
However, the teachers said that the individuals involved had not presented them with any legal notice or documentation proving ownership of the land.
The teachers also alleged that they were treated disrespectfully during the incident and were forcibly removed from the school building.
According to the school administration, around 600 students are enrolled at the institution. The sudden disruption to their education could negatively affect their academic future.
Teachers have urged the Sindh government and the Education Minister to intervene immediately, reclaim the school building, and restore educational activities for the students.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Sindh Education Department has taken notice of the incident and sought details from the relevant authorities. Further action is expected after the department completes its investigation into the matter.
