ISLAMABAD: Chairman China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority Asim Saleem Bajwa has said the work on the Eastbay Expressway Gwadar project is in the final stage and it would be completed by October this year.
On a social media website Twitter, Asim Bajwa said the 14.5 kilometers offshore expressway has already been completed while the remaining 4.5 KM onshore road is under construction and 92 percent of work has been completed.
The Expressway will connect the port with the second phase of the Free Trade Zone which will facilitate the business climate of the zone and the port alike, Chairman CPEC Authority added.

Earlier, Asim Saleem Bajwa had said that the construction on the East Bay Expressway is in its final stages.
Chairman CPEC Authority took to Twitter and wrote that East Bay Expressway progress 80 percent. Asphalt underway will boost the Port operation’s big way.
He further stated that carpeting work is underway on the expressway. With the completion of the road, activities at Gwadar Port will be intensified.
