Dumper crushes two motorcylists to death in Karachi

KARACHI: Two persons were killed when the motorcycle they were riding on was hit by a speeding dumper in Karachi.

According to details, the accident occurred at the flyover near Ayesha Manzil where a rashly driven dumper hit a motorcycle, killing two persons on the spot.

Residents of the area gathered at the spot after the accident and torched the dumper. A police party reached the spot and brought the situation under control.

Rescue teams reached the spot after being informed and shifted the dead bodies to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Rescue sources said that the deceased were identified as Jamal-ud-Din and Asrar Ahmed.

Earlier, at least eight people were killed and several others injured after a passenger coaster fell into a ditch at Khaira Gali on Galyat Road in Murree.

According to details, two buses collided at Khaira Gali on Galyat Road and one fell into a ditch, killing eight people and injuring several others. An eyewitness said that both the bus drivers were racing and the two buses collided due to high speed.
