Don’t understand why Nawaz's family risking his life: Ali Zaidi

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister of Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi has said that he failed to understand why some members of former premier Nawaz Sharif’s family were playing with his life.
Ali Haider Zaidi’s tweet came after the former premier’s counsel refused to submit a guaranty bond in return of removing Nawaz Sharif’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL).
Federal Minister of Maritime Affairs in a tweet posted, “I simply fail to understand why some in the Sharif Family & Pakistan Muslim League-N (PMLN) are playing with the life of their leader. If Nawaz’s health is that serious that no hospital in Pakistan can treat him, just deposit the bond & take him abroad for treatment! Is money more precious than life?”

Earlier on Tuesday, a sub-committee of the federal cabinet meeting was held to decide ways to lift Nawaz Sharif’s name from the ECL.
Sources privy of the details said that the cabinet committee has demanded PML-N to submit surety bonds worth Rs 7 billion in return of removing Nawaz’s name from the ECL.

Nawaz Sharif, however, rejected the government’s offer made on medical grounds and to pay Rs 7 billion as surety bonds equivalent to the fines imposed on him by an accountability court in two corruption cases in which he was convicted.
