Dollar Holds Near Rs278 in Open Market as New Week Begins

KARACHI: Foreign exchange rates for the open market were released on the first trading day of the week, with the US dollar selling at Rs278.40, while the British pound was quoted at Rs379.78. The euro was available for sale at Rs325.53.

According to the open market forex rates updated at 10:56am on September 14, 2026, the US dollar was quoted at Rs277.90 for buying and Rs278.40 for selling.

The British pound was quoted at Rs375.59 for buying and Rs379.78 for selling, while the euro was available at Rs321.56 for buying and Rs325.53 for selling.

In the open market, the Saudi riyal was quoted at Rs73.90 for buying and Rs74.58 for selling. The UAE dirham was available at Rs75.60 for buying and Rs76.43 for selling.

The Kuwaiti dinar was quoted at Rs886.05 for buying and Rs896.85 for selling, while the Bahraini dinar stood at Rs733.64 for buying and Rs743.95 for selling.

The Omani rial was quoted at Rs718.92 for buying and Rs729.45 for selling. The Qatari riyal was available at Rs73.90 for buying and Rs74.58 for selling.

The Canadian dollar was quoted at Rs199.04 for buying and Rs204.75 for selling, while the Australian dollar stood at Rs197.19 for buying and Rs201.47 for selling.

The Chinese yuan was quoted at Rs38.27 for buying and Rs38.99 for selling. The Swiss franc stood at Rs338.09 for buying and Rs342.85 for selling.

The Singapore dollar was quoted at Rs217.57 for buying and Rs223.10 for selling, while the New Zealand dollar stood at Rs159.63 for buying and Rs162.99 for selling.

The Japanese yen was quoted at Rs1.7339 for buying and Rs1.8337 for selling, while the Indian rupee stood at Rs2.65 for buying and Rs3.25 for selling.

Interbank Market Rates

In the interbank market, the US dollar was quoted at Rs277.20 for bank buying and Rs277.70 for bank selling.

The euro stood at Rs320.73 for bank buying and Rs321.31 for bank selling, while the British pound was quoted at Rs374.38 for buying and Rs375.05 for selling.

The Saudi riyal was quoted at Rs73.81 for bank buying and Rs73.94 for bank selling. The Canadian dollar stood at Rs199.84 for buying and Rs200.20 for selling.

The Australian dollar was quoted at Rs198.17 for bank buying and Rs198.52 for bank selling, while the Chinese yuan stood at Rs41.33 for buying and Rs41.40 for selling.

The Swiss franc was quoted at Rs338.81 for bank buying and Rs339.42 for bank selling. The Singapore dollar stood at Rs218.45 for buying and Rs218.84 for selling.

The Japanese yen was quoted at Rs1.7996 for bank buying and Rs1.8028 for bank selling.

The interbank rates provided above do not include the UAE dirham and several other currencies.
