The MQM-P’s IT wing has developed the “My Voter” mobile application, aiming to streamline the election process for their supporters.
The mobile application is designed to offer a digital polling card with comprehensive details once the voter enters their CNIC number into the “My Voter” app.
In a previous development, MQM-P had already shortlisted 200 candidates for the upcoming general elections in 2024. According to sources, the MQM-P’s parliamentary board conducted interviews with over 600 candidates in the initial phase and narrowed down the selection to 200 candidates in the subsequent phase. The final list of candidates will be forwarded to the Rabita Committee for further consideration.
Regarding the election schedule, the last date for deciding appeals against decisions made by Returning Officers is set for January 10, 2024.
A revised list of candidates is scheduled for publication on January 11, with January 12 marked for the publication of the final candidate list.
Election symbols will be allotted to candidates on January 13, and polling is slated to take place on February 08, 2024.
It’s worth noting that this election program will also apply to the reserved seats for women and non-Muslims in the National Assembly and provincial assemblies of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), and Balochistan provinces.
