‘A well-made masala film will never go out of fashion. Pushpa proved it yet again.’ Originally in Telugu, the Allu Arjun-starrer movie accumulated a staggering profit of Rs 40 crore in its dubbed Hindi version.
The actor broke box office records after his unforgettable performance in the movie. However, as the sequel of the film is now in the making, there are reports that the actor has hiked up his fee.
His fees for Pushpa: The Rise was around reportedly around Rs. 45 crore, but the Telugu superstar has hiked his fee to nearly double that amount for the sequel. Not only the actor, Pushpa director Sukumar may also have hiked his fees considerably for the sequel.

A source confirmed, “Arjun’s fee for the Pushpa sequel is around Rs. 85 crores which is a new record in the Telugu film industry.” While how much the director Sukumar is being paid is unclear as of yet, it will be a lot more than what he got for Pushpa: The Rise.
A source close to Allu Arjun’s family revealed that Arjun’s equation with the box office changed after Pushpa. Released on 17th December, the Hindi version of the film had no buzz, no promotion and minimal showcasing by multiplexes.
It was pitted against the global box office monster Spiderman: No Way Home and outran every other film including the web-slinger and the much hyped 83.
It is the 5th highest South Indian grosser behind the 2 Baahubali films, 2.0 and Saaho. In terms of ticket receipts, it has sold more tickets than films like War, Kabir Singh, Padmaavat, Sanju and Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior.
