Pakistan Customs at Jinnah International Airport on Friday foiled an attempt to smuggle worth nearly 300 million rupees through the Karachi International Mail Office.
According to the FBR, officers of the Collectorate of Customs Airports Karachi’s Airport Cargo Control Unit (ACCU) seized 9,455 MDMA (Ecstasy) pills during inspection. The pills are valued at Rs 299,791,000.

In the first incident, Customs officers intercepted a parcel from Thailand that had been falsely declared as containing amulets. Upon inspection, they discovered 1.69 kilograms of marijuana, valued at Rs. 52 million.
In a separate operation, officials seized 1,945 MDMA (Ecstasy) pills worth Rs. 62 million from a parcel arriving from Belgium. The shipment had been misdeclared as a vacuum cleaner.
