ISLAMABAD: The rate of positive cases of coronavirus in Pakistan has reached 7.20 percent.
A briefing by medical experts at the National Command and Operations Center meeting said that the number of critically ill patients due to the coronavirus was increasing rapidly across the country.
The condition of 2,112 coronavirus patients across the country is currently critical. Peshawar has the highest rate of positive cases reaching 19.65 percent. The rate of positive cases in Karachi is 17.73 and in Hyderabad, it is 16.32 percent.
In Azad Kashmir, the positive cases of coronavirus are 10.79 percent, Punjab 3.59 percent, Sindh 13.25 percent, Balochistan 6.41 percent, Gilgit-Baltistan 4.81 percent, and Islamabad 5.84 percent.
The positive rate of coronavirus cases in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is 9.25 percent, Lahore 4.52 percent, Rawalpindi 11.49 percent, Karachi 17.73 percent, Hyderabad 16.32 percent, Quetta 9.77 percent, and Muzaffarabad 10.34 percent.
The participants of the NCOC meeting were also informed about the meetings with Islamic scholars and Marriage Hall Associations. Asad Umar said that measures for the safety of the people and their health is our first priority.

He said that the Ministry of Health issued strict instructions for the implementation of SOPs. Ensure compliance with all provincial health guidelines. During the meeting, the implementation of SOPs in mosques and awareness by scholars was praised.
The total number of deaths due to the coronavirus in Pakistan has reached 7,897 and 389,311 have been affected. The number of coronavirus cases in Islamabad is 28,980, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 46,281, Sindh 1,68,783, Punjab 1,17,160, Balochistan 17,008, Azad Kashmir 6,501 and Gilgit-Baltistan 4,598.
The highest number of deaths due to coronavirus is in Punjab where 2,945 people have lost their lives. 2,885 people have lost their lives in Sindh, 1,346 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 305 in Islamabad, 96 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 165 in Balochistan, and 155 in Azad Kashmir.
