Coronavirus death toll surpasses 1,377,745 worldwide

WASHINGTON: The coronavirus has affected 57,909,991 million people and killed 1,377,745 people worldwide.

So far, more than 41.05 million patients of coronavirus have recovered and 1,64,22,998 are undergoing treatment.

Coronavirus has the highest number of registered cases and deaths in the United States. Coronavirus has reported 260,283 deaths and more than 12,274,000 cases in the United States.

India ranks second in the world in coronavirus cases, with 132,764 deaths and more than 9,050,000 people diagnosed with the virus.

The total number of deaths from coronavirus in Brazil is one lakh 68 thousand 662 and more than 6 million 20 thousand people are affected.

In France, more than 2.1 million people were affected and 48,265 people lost their lives. In Russia, more than 2,039,000 people have been infected with the coronavirus, bringing the total number of deaths to 35,311.

More than 1.589 million people have been affected in Spain, while 42,619 people have died. There have been 1,473,000 coronavirus cases and 54,286 deaths reported in the UK.

The last 10 million cases in the world were registered in just 21 days. It took 223 days from the first case to 10 million cases.

From the first case to 25 million cases, coronavirus took 284 days. The last 25 million cases were registered in just 71 days.

The first case of coronavirus was registered on 17th November 2019. On 21st May, the number of cases reached 5 million. On 27th June, the number of cases crossed one crore.

Coronavirus cases reached 20 million worldwide in August. On 16th September, coronavirus crossed the 30 million mark. On 17th October, the number of cases exceeded 40 million. On 7th November, the cases crossed the 50 million mark.
