Coronavirus cases worldwide cross 7.4 million mark

WASHINGTON: Around the world, the coronavirus pandemic has killed more than 419,048 people and infected over 7,459,848. 
According to the latest data, 3,778,594 patients have recovered from the pandemic so far.
The United States has been the hardest-hit country, with 2,066,401 cases and 115,130 deaths. Brazil now has the second-highest number of recorded infections in the world after the United States with 775,184 cases and 39,797 fatalities.
A number of 493,657 people have infected while 6,358 people died of the virus in Russia. The country has the third-highest number of recorded infections in the world.
The United Kingdom has reported 41,128 fatalities and 290,143 infections. Spain has recorded 27,136 fatalities and 289,360 infections.
India has reported 287,155 cases while 8,107 deaths due to the coronavirus. Italy, which recorded its first coronavirus death at the end of February, has 34,114 fatalities, while 235,763 infections.
Peru has reported 208,823 cases while 5,903 deaths. Germany has reported 8,844 deaths and 186,866 infections.
Meanwhile, the death toll is 8,506 in Iran as the confirmed number of cases is almost 177,938. Turkey reported 173,036 coronavirus cases and 4,746 fatalities.
France has reported 29,319 deaths and 155,136 cases. China has to date declared 4,634 deaths and 83,057 cases, with 78,361 recoveries.
In Belgium, 9,629 people succumbed to the disease while reported 59,569 cases due to the coronavirus. Mexico has reported 15,357 deaths and 129,184 cases.
Canada reported 7,960 fatalities and 97,125 infections due to coronavirus. Israel has reported 18,355coronavirus cases while 299 deaths.
Saudi Arabia has reported 112,288 cases of coronavirus, while 819 coronavirus deaths have been reported. Kuwait has reported 275 deaths while over 33,823 people have been tested positive for the virus.
