Sindh health minister bans use of gutka, cigarette during duty hours

KARACHI: People involved in production, consumption, storage and sale of chewing tobacco also known as gutka will face imprisonment from one to six years.
A bill against production, regulation, storage, and sale of chewing tobacco was presented in the Sindh Assembly.

According to the bill, one who is found involved in manufacturing, eating, storage and sale of gutka will face between one year to six years imprisonment.
The opposition in Sindh Assembly also welcomed the move while ruling Pakistan Tehreek Insaf leader Haleem Adil Shiekh said that they supported the government on the eradication of gutka menace.
Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) member Nusrat Sehar Abbasi also hailed the decision adding that presenting the bill is not enough but its implementation is necessary.
