KARACHI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has lauded the efforts of Sindh Rangers in maintaining peace and stability in Karachi and paid homage to their sacrifices.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief visited the Headquarters of Pakistan Rangers Sindh in Karachi, where he was received by Major General Omer Ahmed Bokhari.
“During the interaction, the COAS appreciated the contributions of Sindh Rangers and paid homage to their sacrifices. On arrival, he also laid floral wreath on Yadgar-e-Shuhuda,” the military’s media wing informed.
Earlier in the day, the army chief also attended the 48th Basic Aviation Security Course Passing out Parade in Karachi, where he was received by Director General Airport Security Force Major General Zafar UI Haq.
On the occasion, COAS Bajwa said that training of Airport Security Force trainees will enhance the standards of aviation security in Pakistan.
He expressed satisfaction with the training and performance of the ASF trainees and also appreciated the participation of women in the force. The COAS congratulated the trainees and their families and distributed prizes among the position holders.
