LAHORE: Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar will pay a visit to Prime Minister Imran Khan to present him a report on the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) attack.
Punjab law minister and chief secretary will also accompany the chief minister during the meeting.
Usman Buzdar vowed to take stern action against those involved in PIC riot, adding that the provincial government would not tolerate any kind of chaos in the province.
The chief minister further said that his all sympathies were with the families of the victims.
A violent clash that erupted between hundreds of lawyers and doctors on Wednesday had left four patients dead when the charged lawyers stormed into the PIC and broke windows of the emergency ward and several vehicles parked nearby.
The move came after when the doctors and hospital staff at the PIC last weak, beat up a lawyer who had brought his mother to the hospital for treatment. As a result of doctors’ negligence, the health of the lawyer’s mother worsened.
