The court of Judicial Magistrate East Karachi has prohibited the media from showing the identity of the victim girl in the case related to child marriage.
The court granted the application while ruling on the request of the District Public Prosecutor regarding the anonymity of the girl to be married.
The court has ordered that publication of the identity, address, and photographs of the girl child victim are prohibited under the Child Restraint Marriage Act, which aims to protect victims.

According to the court order, all media persons should ensure that the identity of the victim girl is not revealed, so that the information about the girl that has already been published can be prevented from spreading further. The court has also directed to send its orders to all media regulations.
