Chief Justice LHC Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan retires
LAHORE: Chief Justice Lahore High Court (LHC) Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan has retired today.
Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan will be replaced by Justice Mamnoon Sheikh, who will be sworn in as the LHC chief justice tomorrow.
While addressing a full court reference at the high court premises in his honour, Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan said that he was honoured to head the LHC.

According to Justice Khan, the judiciary as an institution was a guarantor of the rights of citizens.
Justice Khan was sworn in as the 48th Chief Justice of Lahore High Court earlier this year on 1st January. Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar administered the oath to him.
