The Punjab government held an e-balloting initiative to allocate e-bikes and petrol motorcycles to students through interest-free and convenient installment plans.
Overseen by Provincial Minister for Transport, Bilal Akbar Khan, the e-balloting process has garnered commendation for its focus on women’s empowerment.
A total of 20,000 bikes will be distributed under the program, with 7,324 bikes designated for female students and 11,676 bikes for male students. One of the most notable aspects of this program is the distribution of 1,000 e-electric bikes. Of these, 300 are designated for female students and 700 are designated for male students. This focus on environmentally friendly transportation options shows a forward-thinking attitude toward sustainability.
