LARKANA: The Provincial Ombudsman Sindh ordered the removal of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Larkana Chairman Naseem Memon after the charge of harassing the woman was proven.
According to the order, during the hearing, it was found that Chairman Nasim Ahmed Memon abused, intimidated and inflicted mental agony on the school teacher Shgupta Shah during his previous tenure as the principal of the public school.
Shah filed a complaint in this regard in 2017 through lawyer Sajjad Ahmed Chandio.
The provincial ombudsman also imposed a fine of Rs 300,000 on the Chairman Larkana Board.
Shagufta Shah lodged a complaint in that regard in 2017 through advocate Sajjad Ahmed Chandio.
The ombudsman noted that accused Memon did not challenge the allegations made by Shah during the hearings.
“…it has been found that Memon has defamed the appellant Shah in accordance with the relevant law and accordingly, Memon has been removed from his post as the present Chairman BISE Larkana with immediate effect,” the order said.
