LAHORE: CEO of Porsche dealership in Pakistan, a well-known brand of luxury cars, has laundered a huge amount of money from people and fled the country.
CEO of Porsche Pakistan named Abuzar Bokhari allegedly took Rs 800 million from the citizens for booking a new model car. However, before the vehicles were delivered, the accused fled the country with money worth millions. Cases have been registered in Ghalib Market, Gulberg, Sarwar Road, and Naseerabad in Lahore.

Police requested assistance from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in connection with the arrest of the accused. Police say documents are being prepared to add the accused’s name to the Interpol list. Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused first went into hiding in Dubai and then in London.
Founder and CEO of the only Porsche dealership in Pakistan, Bokhari began with two partners but continued alone with the venture when Porsche formally entered the Pakistani market. Porsche’s presence in the country was provisionally launched in 2006 and then formally launched in 2008. Since then, it has been in the successful operation and has grown significantly.
