Cement sales in Pakistan reached 3.313 million tons, reflecting an increase of 11.64% compared to January 2024’s figure of 2.967 million tons, said All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA).
Data from APCMA indicates that the volume of cement dispatched rose from 446,595 tons in January 2024 to 581,691 tons in January 2025, resulting in a 30.25% increase in exports.
The total cement dispatched in January 2025 amounted to 3.894 million tons, marking a 14.08% rise from the 3.414 million tons recorded in the same month of the previous fiscal year.
North-based cement mills shipped 2.728 million tons in January 2025, up 12.08% from 2.434 million tons in January 2024.
Meanwhile, South American mills dispatched 1.166 million tons in January 2025, representing a 19.04% increase over the 0.980 million tons sent in January 2024.
In terms of domestic markets, north-based mills delivered 2.669 million tons of cement in January 2025, an increase of 11.89% from 2.385 million tons in January 2024. South-based mills contributed 644,173 tons to local markets in January 2025, which is a 10.63% rise from the 582,258 tons shipped in January 2024.
Exports from northern mills also saw growth, increasing by 21.42% from 48,883 tons in January 2024 to 59,355 tons in January 2025. Additionally, South American exports surged by 31.34%, rising from 397,712 tons in January 2024 to 522,336 tons in January 2025.
