The famous skyscraper of Dubai, Burj Khalifa, will stream New Year fireworks on Zoom this year.
In a statement by the Emirates News Agency, Emaar, the master developer of the Burj Khalifa has collaborated with Zoom Video Communications to host the celebration of New Year’s Eve.
The video call will invite up to 50,000 people from around the world to tune in and participate in the 2021 first ever New Year’s Eve celebration to be hosted on Zoom. Emaar will broadcast the New Year’s Eve 2021 live globally on Zoom from 9:30p.m. (PST) onwards.

This would feature fireworks, light and a laser show in Downtown Dubai. In Pakistan the United Arab Emirates (UAE) midnight will strike at 1 a.m. due to time difference, hence the main fireworks will be more of a post-midnight New Year’s plan for Pakistanis.
Head of International at Zoom, Abe Smith spoke about the arrangement and said, “Zoom is proud and honored to take part in such a monumental event with Emaar, where our platform will allow people from all over the world to participate as we ring in a new year.”
