British team will examine PIA’s safety & security features

KARACHI: A team of the British Department for Transport has
planned to visit Karachi for the inspection of PIA flight PK-787 and security of the flight as this flight flies between Karachi to London.
The British Team is tasked to conduct a necessary inspection and establish whether the flight’s safety and security are per international criteria because British Aviation wants the safety of the passengers at any cost.

This flight review is being done after Canada had stopped a PIA airplane to take off after a passenger has complained that the jet’s engine was not working and the landing gear was also malfunctioned. That situation has earned PIA and Pakistan a negative impression with regard to passengers’ safety and jets security.

The British Team would carry necessary examination of passengers’ luggage, Luggage Screening Process and other safety and security measures at work by the Civil Aviation Authority.

The Team had also visited Karachi in the past and it is their second visit to the city.
