WASHINGTON: Oil prices rose again in global markets on Tuesday as concerns over a prolonged conflict in the Middle East intensified and Iran warned that it would retaliate against any new US attacks.
At the start of trading, Brent crude futures rose by 34 cents, or 0.35%, to $97.34 per barrel.
US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude gained $1.15, or 1.26%, to reach $92.63 per barrel.

It is worth noting that Brent crude had already climbed to its highest level since July 24 during the previous trading session, as escalating tensions in the Middle East continued to raise concerns over potential disruptions to global oil supplies.
