The Recording Academy unveiled the initial three artists scheduled to perform at the 2024 Grammy Awards. Music’s hottest young queens, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, and Olivia Rodrigo, have been crowned the first performers for the 66th annual Grammy Awards, which is scheduled to air live from Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena at 8 p.m. ET on CBS, Feb. 4.
The three musicians are the first round of performers to be announced, with additional acts expected to be announced in the coming weeks. Eilish, 22, recently won best original song for Barbie’s “What Was I Made For?” with her brother Finneas O’Connell at the 2024 Golden Globes. The track was also up for best song at the Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday.
Eilish is up for six awards in total this year, primarily thanks to her soundtrack song “What Was I Made For?” from Barbie: Record of the Year, and Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Music Video, and Best Song Written for Visual Media. Last week, the track won her a Golden Globe for Best Original Song. Eilish is also in the running for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for the Labrinth collaboration “Never Felt So Alone” at the Grammys.
Rodrigo similarly has six nominations this year: Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for Guts; Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Vampire”; and Best Rock Song for “Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl.”
Meanwhile, Dua Lipa just has two nods at the 2024 Grammys, for Song of the Year and Best Song Written for Visual Media for her Barbie contribution “Dance the Night.”
