ISLAMABAD: The Utility Stores Corporation has announced a significant decrease in tea, ghee, and cooking oil prices, providing substantial relief to the public ahead of Ramadan 2024.
According to media reports, the corporation has also lowered prices on various other items, including soap and washing powder.
The prices of ghee and cooking oil from different brands have been reduced by up to Rs100 per kilogram. Similarly, the prices of branded tea have seen a reduction of up to Rs100.
The utility stores are set to launch the Ramadan relief package next month for members of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP).
The holy month of fasting is expected to commence on March 11 or 12 in Pakistan.
