MUNICH: Bayern Munich has rejected Barcelona’s third offer for Robert Lewandowski, according to BILD. The Bavarian club has turned down the Blaugrana’s proposal worth €40 million upfront with €5m in potential add-ons.
Barça will have to keep insisting if they want to sign the striker.
After two offers without any response, Bayern has at least replied. The reply, though, as expected, was not positive for Barça. Bayern will only listen to offers worth over €50m for the Poland international. It’s a big fee for a player that turns 34 in August and has just one year on his contract.
As per details, Barça improved on their initial offers to try and unblock the issue. They have reached €40m — the amount they wanted to spend initially — with add-ons included, but it’s not convinced Bayern. The two clubs are condemned to come to an understanding, though, with Lewandowski making it clear he wants to move this summer.
