KARACHI: The concerned authorities came into action after former Pakistan Captain Wasim Akram shared a troubling video of Karachi’s Clifton beach littered with heaps of garbage.
To give the beach its original attractiveness back, government officials and workers joined hands under the ‘cleaning beach initiative’ and cleaned the beach.
Earlier today (Monday), Wasim Akram expressed disappointment over the condition of Sea View. Taking to Twitter, Wasim Akram said that he made a big mistake by bringing his wife to Sea View on the first day of the week.

Wasim Akram said that we should not blame anyone because we are responsible for all this filth because if we throw garbage in the sea then it comes to the shore.
Following his tweet, the relevant authorities started cleanliness work at the beach. Within a few hours, the heavy machinery and sanitary cleaners cleared the shore.
Earlier in January, the Sindh government and senior officials of the Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC) rushed to the Sea View beach after a tweet regarding hospital waste dumped on the beach went viral.
The action was taken after Shaniera Akram, the wife of former Pakistan cricket star, Wasim Akram, posted a number of photos and a video of hospital waste dumped at various points along the beach.
