Atif Aslam breaks 18-year silence with new album ‘Subah Aaye Na’

KARACHI: Renowned Pakistani singer Atif Aslam has announced the release of his fourth studio album titled ‘Subah Aaye Na’, marking his first complete studio album in almost 18 years. The upcoming album will feature eight brand new tracks.

Atif Aslam shared the official cover of the album on the social media platform Instagram, along with the complete tracklist. The album includes the title track ‘Subah Aaye Na’, along with ‘Safar Mein Hun’, ‘Ishq’, ‘Let’s Have Some Fun’, ‘Sun Sajna’, ‘Hun Ishq Mein’, ‘Chaar Yaar’ and ‘Sache Waaday’.

This will be Atif Aslam’s first full studio album since ‘Meri Kahani’, which was released in 2008. Songs from ‘Meri Kahani’ such as ‘Tere Bin’, ‘Kon Tha’, ‘Kinara’ and ‘Meri Kahani’ remain immensely popular among fans to this day.

Earlier, his 2006 album ‘Doorie’ featured hits like ‘Kuch Is Tarah’ and ‘Mahi Ve’, while his debut solo album ‘Jal Pari’, released in 2004, catapulted him to overnight stardom with unforgettable tracks like ‘Aadat’, ‘Bheegi Yaadein’ and ‘Woh Lamhey’.

Over the past two decades, Atif Aslam has lent his voice to numerous films in both Pakistan and India. His most celebrated film songs include ‘Tera Honay Laga Hun’, ‘Jeena Jeena’, ‘Pehli Nazar Mein’, ‘Dil Diyan Gallan’, ‘Jeenay Laga Hun’, ‘Tu Janay Na’, ‘O Saathi’ and ‘Main Rang Sharbaton Ka’.

During this period, he has also delivered memorable performances on Coke Studio, collaborated with international musicians and performed at concerts around the world.

Recently, Atif Aslam collaborated with British-Azerbaijani musician Sami Yusuf for the soulful track ‘Tu Hi Mera Razdaan’, which was recorded live at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. The announcement of his new album has been met with great excitement from fans, as ‘Subah Aaye Na’ will be his first complete studio album in 18 years, through which he will present a fresh collection of original songs to his listeners.
