SANAA: The spokesman of the Yemeni government has said on Sunday that a ballistic missile for a Yemeni southern separatist group sponsored by the United Arab Emirates ripped through a military parade killing at least six troops and four girls.
According to the details, the explosion occurred as the separatists, known as the Resistance Forces, finished a parade for new recruits at a soccer field in Dhale province capital, al-Shoebi said.

The said group is part of the Southern Transitional Council or STC, seeking the restoration of the independent state that existed until 1990 in the South. The STC is linked to the Saudi-led coalition fighting the Houthi rebels of Yemen.
While the southerners backed by the UAE are at present at odds with the internationally recognized government of Yemen, which is closer to Saudi Arabia. Over the past several months, cracks in the anti-Houthi block have been widening.
Videos circulating online from Sunday’s attack shows a hole in a stage on the edge of the field, apparently from an explosion, while other videos on the ground showed dead bodies.
