Kamran Qureshi, the father of the main suspect in the Mustafa murder case, has allegedly issued threats to public prosecutor Zulfiqar Ali Arain.
According to Aaj News, Qureshi made the threat following his son Armaghan’s appearance at the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) jail, stating, “I will deal with you people.”
The public prosecutor has reported the incident to the relevant authorities, but no action has been taken against Qureshi by the police so far.
Last week, the police submitted a supplementary charge sheet against Armaghan in a case involving threats to a lawyer.
The Boat Basin police had previously registered an FIR against him in April 2024 for allegedly threatening the lawyer representing the complainant in two cases. Armaghan, who had been declared an absconder for failing to appear in court, was arrested last month by the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) after an encounter.
The investigation officer (IO) presented the supplementary charge sheet to a South judicial magistrate, detailing Armaghan’s arrest.
Moreover, the IO informed the ATC that Armaghan was an absconder wanted in eight cases. Additionally, the AVCC booked him in three more cases last month after a raid at his residence, during which he was found in possession of illegal firearms and engaged in an encounter with the police.
