Ariana Grande has gotten herself a sixth-time chart-topping honour with her album.
The singer achieved her sixth No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart as Eternal Sunshine sits atop the charts. As per Luminate, the album debuted with 227,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States during the week of March 14. The first week of Eternal also happens to be the biggest week for any album in 2024.
Grande led the tops with Positions (in 2020), Thank U, Next (2019), Sweetener (2018), My Everything (2014) and Yours Truly (2013) in the past. Eternal was released on March 8. Eternal was driven by the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single “Yes, And?,” which debuted at the top of the list dated January 27.
Grande made the news of the new album public on Jan. 17 and hinted at the set’s release as the musical guest on NBC’s Saturday Night Live on March 9.
She also appeared as a presenter at the Academy Awards on March 10. As a result of Ariana Grande’s Billboard 200 album chart success, Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time has been pushed down to No. 2 on the new Billboard 200.
